Americký seriál Knots Landing je jakousi odnoží populárního Dallasu. Člen slavné rodiny Ewingů, Gary, byl nucen ze svého rodného města odejít a usadil se se svou ženou Valene ve fiktivním městě Knots Landing ve společnosti několika sousedících rodin. Mě se tenhle seriál líbil. Nevypráví se zde ságá miliardářské rodiny, ale příběhy několika rodin americké střední třídy. Navíc se zde byli zajímavám způsobem ztvárněny každodenní starosti a problémy: alkoholismus, užívání drog. K nejsilnějším zážitkům však patřila zápletka únosu dětí z porodnice, které měli být použity na nelegální adopci a matce bylo namluveno, že se děti narodili mrtvé.
