V dalších filmech napsal Roberts scénář k filmu Stripper (1963), v hlavní roli Joanne Woodwardová, adaptací hry Williama Inge A Loss of Roses a napsal scénár k filmu In the Cool of the Day (1963) s Peterem Finchem a Jane Fondou, adaptováním stejnojmenného románu Susan Ertzové. Roberts byl také hercem ve dvou filmech Johna Cassavetese: The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976) a Opening Night (1977). Robertsova hra Palm Tree in a Rose Garden (1957) měla off-Broadway v NYC od 26. listopadu 1957 do 19. ledna 1958, s Barbarou Baxley Parris jako Barbara Parris.
