Gary Valentine, původně Gary Joseph Knipfing z Mineola, New York, je bratr herce Kevina Jamese a má německé kořeny. Začal svou kariéru v stand-up komedii, Valentine brzy získal popularitu v Los Angeles, kde se objevil v renomovaných talk show jako The Late Late Show s Craigem Kilbornem, Late Night s Conanem O'Brienem a The Tonight Show s Jayem Leno. Je známý pro svou devět sezón roli jako "Cousin Danny" na CBS Král královny a také přispěl jako spisovatel.
