Edward Platt
Biografie
Jeho otec se narodil na Staten Island v New Yorku 19. března 1916, dědičně získal uznání pro hudbu po matce. Strávil část svého dětství v Kentucky a v severním New Yorku, kde navštěvoval Northwood, soukromou školu v Lake Placid, a byl členem lyžařského týmu. Vystudoval romantické jazyky na Princetonské univerzitě, ale o rok později odešel studovat na konzervatoři hudby v Cincinnati poté, co se jeho myšlenky obrátily na možnou operní kariéru.
