V roce 1986 získal nominaci na prestižní cenu Genie za vynikající výkon jako Philip Longlan v Bayo. Ačkoli cenu nevyhrál, Akademie kanadského filmu a televize uznala jeho přínos tím, že mu předala první Earle Grey Award za celoživotní úspěch.
