Narodil se ve Washingtonu, D.C., Davidson byl adoptován, když mu bylo 2 roky. Je produktem interrasové adopce, jeho rodiče jsou běloši a on je Afroameričan. Navštěvoval střední školu v Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, v Betesda, Maryland. Po ukončení studia se zapsal na University of District of Columbia, ale krátce poté odešel.
